If you’ve never been to DOPL’s Annual Pilgrimage you should plan to attend. Members come from all over to converge at Point Lookout, MD each year. They come to mourn, pay homage to their Confederate Ancestors and walk where they walked. We will never know what they suffered, but time and again those who attend the Pilgrimage say they will forever feel closer to those who gave so much.

Members and friends have been staying here for years so make your reservations now to ensure you get your room.. We have a group rate of $68.00 this year. Their regular rate is $94.99 so this is a good saving’s. Tell them you are with the Descendants of Point Lookout Org. There are many area restaurants if you want to come early and stay late and fellowship with other members. I normally leave on Sunday after a last minute visit to the Park to say goodbye until next year.
Being at Point Lookout is something you must experience for yourself. Until you go, you never know what you’re missing, however once you go, you’ll want to come back every year.
